Actual and volumetric weight
Understand why a parcel may be billed from its dimensions.
Two measurements
Actual weight includes the goods and packaging. Volumetric weight represents the space a parcel occupies. Some routes compare the two when calculating chargeable weight.

Packaging is one input
Removing a shoe box may change dimensions or weight, but does not guarantee a lower quotation. Check the packed measurements and live route rules.
